Personal Logs 3: Spocks Katra stows away on a Moon Rocket!

Good news everyone! We're all going to the Moon!

Well, everyone who was in Personal Logs 3 anyway.

At the end of January my good friend, writer, poet and all-round creative, Bron Rauk-Mitchell, signed on for the "Writers On The Moon" Project created by Susan Kaye Quinn: 'a rag-tag fleet of stories for a Lunar Time Capsule' which is going to be on the Peregrine lander.

Bron was allowed 20MB but has graciously given up some of her space on the mission to fellow creatives and I was lucky enough to be invited to submit one of my fanzines. As you can guess, space was at a premium, only one book/file could go, so I picked Personal Log 3, Spock's Katra, the Trekzine we put out in December, 2015 to commemorate the passing of Leonard Nimoy as something that might interest future historians.

Which means that our creative work is going to stow away on a mission to the Moon!!! To be precise, it will be stored with all the other submissions on a SanDisk Extreme microSD card and carried inside the Peregrine lander when it goes to the moon later this year.

What we do with this project on Earth is anyone's guess! The group is encouraging writers, passengers and stowaways to use this opportunity to promote the time capsule as much as possible and along the way cross-promote each other's work. There is talk of mainstream media articles, interviews, and podcasts and, if it proves 'noteable' enough, probably a Wikipedia page.

We'll be be keeping you up to date here but if you want to get the latest news on this direct from the organiser, click on the graphic below to subscribe to Susan Kaye Quinn's newsletter...
